Povidone-iodine HF, suppositories contain the active substance povidone-iodine, which belongs to the group of gynecological anti-infectives and antiseptics.
Povidone-iodine HF, suppositories are used in the treatment of acute and chronic vaginal infections (vaginitis)
caused by: mixed and non-specific pathogens, fungi (Candida albicans), especially after antibiotic and steroid hormone therapy, and Trichomonas vaginalis, as well as preoperative preparation of the vagina.
Povidone-iodine suppositories enable the rapid establishment of the natural vaginal flora. Symptoms such as
burning and itching quickly cease.
Due to the mode of action, there is no need to fear the development of resistance (resistance of the infectious agent), nor the formation of secondary resistance with long-term use of povidone-iodine.
Povidone-iodine is water-soluble and easily removed by washing.
