Operil® P 0.025% nasal spray
 
Operil P is only intended for children between the ages of 6 and 12.
For adults and children over 12 years of age, Operil, nasal spray, 500mcg/ml is suitable.
Operil P contains oxymetazoline. Oxymetazoline is used as a nasal decongestant (a medicine against the accumulation of secretions). It works by narrowing the blood vessels of the nasal mucosa, which reduces swelling of the nasal mucosa. The result of this effect is a reduced feeling of nasal congestion and better elimination of secretions from the nose. Operil® P begins to work within a few minutes and its effect lasts up to 12 hours. Oxymetazoline also has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects.
Operil P has an antiviral effect on certain viruses that mainly cause respiratory diseases.
Operil P is used:
to reduce the feeling of nasal congestion in acute inflammation of the nasal mucosa due to colds, allergic or vasomotor rhinitis
in inflammation of the middle ear
to facilitate nasal breathing after nasal surgery
